Since yesterday evening, some fake media have been launched through suspicious internet pages spreading lies about Al-Rafidain List (306), among our people. These low-lives have been stating that Al-Rafidain List (306) had received thousands of votes in the special elections claiming that there has been an agreement set with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). These claims have been orchestrated to justify their association and for being the facade for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). We have waited to address these lies and refutation until the completion of ballot counting, which revealed with definitive evidence that Al-Rafidain List (306) had received only 42 votes, which were the votes of our people, members in the police forces and others. Obviously 306 list did not receive thousands votes as claimed in these suspicious internet pages, full of hatred and aimed at Al-Rafidain List (306), rather to justify their subordination to KDP, in addition to create a state of confusion among voters.
We shall inform these low-lives that the Assyrian Democratic Movement and its Al-Rafidain List (306) have not and will not bow to these cheap tactics and shall keep our credibility among the masses of our Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people. We shall hold the trust of our voters to the highest levels and will not budge in the face of such paid conspiracies and their initiators. These conspiracies have revealed the list that got the votes from outsiders, so what would be the price that our people will pay through representatives not elected by them? Instead these representatives are elected to be used by the oppressors to mislead and refine their image and use them as a coverage to their non-democratic practices and the policies of discrimination against our people in all walks of life.
The Movement and its parliamentary blocs were the first to work on amending the election law regarding quota seats, so that our voters could elect their legitimate representatives without allowing outsiders to cast their votes that are aimed to confiscate our free will and forge the meaning of quota. We did not receive any response from the Kurdish majority in addressing this issue, so it can continue confiscating the quota seats, as it happened yesterday in the special elections in the region and resulted in having the National Unity List (368) winning thousands of votes from outsiders, supported by KDP.
We call upon our Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people to participate in the elections tomorrow, and to cast their honest votes to elect those who believe in the voice of their aspirations and demands and to safeguard their free will and their independent decision. Also, to dispel the opportunity for those who accepted upon themselves to be a cheap instrument in exchange for some passive personal interests and to pass agendas and polices do not meet the interests of our people.
